If you arrive in Canada earlier than your scheduled start date or extend your visit beyond your date of completion, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate medical coverage. Your health insurance coverage will commence on the first day of your scheduled program date, provided your fees have been paid. International students are automatically enrolled in the mandatory health coverage with Guard.Me. International Student Health Insurance Coverage: The SU Health and Dental Plan is for domestic students only. Opt outs can ONLY be processed within the Change-of-Coverage period. If you are already covered by an extended health and dental plan, you can opt out of the Sheridan SU Health and Dental plan by providing proof of other equivalent health and dental coverage. Students with acceptable proof of alternative coverage may opt out of this program during defined opt-out periods. This mandatory fee charged once per academic year enrols full-time domestic students in Sheridan Student Union’s Health and Dental Plan, providing a wide variety of health and dental coverage, as well as travel insurance to cover unexpected emergency medical expenses. Health Insurance Domestic Student Health Insurance Coverage: Log into myStudent Centre with your Sheridan credentials to view your fee estimate. Check your Account Summary on myStudent Center to review actual charges based on registration or other activity. You may not receive a fee estimate if you are on a work term, a part-time or an out-of-sync student according to your program of study. Check your Account Summary online to review charges after you have enrolled in classes. Your fee estimate does not reflect actual charges placed on your account. You can see a detailed breakdown of your account activity by clicking on the "View Account Detail" linkįull-time fee estimates are available online for students attending an upcoming semester(s) and provide estimated full-time fees for the term(s). Under the Finances section, open the drop down menu and select "View Account Summary". Students with outstanding charges or other indebtedness will not be eligible to return to Sheridan until all amounts owed have been paid. This applies to deposits and installments where applicable. Students are responsible for regularly reviewing their online Student Account Summary and to understand and ensure payment of all amounts owed to Sheridan for each term related to their courses, programs, and studies by the due dates indicated on the student’s fee estimate. Charges are reflected after your schedule has been released and you are registered in courses. Your account summary itemizes the charges, payments and refunds that have been posted to your account. Under the Finances section, open the drop-down menu and select View my Receipts and click (≫).Log in to myStudent Centre using your Sheridan username and password.Once Sheridan receives your payment, it will be confirmed in myStudent Centre Access Your Payment Receipt in myStudent Centre: Retain a copy of your transaction receipt.Inform the teller that you are making a payment to Sheridan College and present them with your nine-digit Sheridan Student ID Number.Visit your local Canadian financial institution / bank branch.Retain the reference number of your transaction.Your account number is your nine-digit Sheridan Student ID Number.Log in to your online account with your financial institution.Payments can be made through your Canadian bank or financial institution using one of the following methods: Online Banking: To make a payment through CIBC’s Student Pay, visit and sign in using your Sheridan login information. Domestic payments can be made via direct debit, Mastercard and Visa. Supports international payments at a preferred currency rate. Please allow 3-5 business days for your payment to reach Sheridan, deadlines apply. Your Account Summary will reflect total charges owing once your course enrollment has been posted.
